Summer Adventure
Spend a summer in Swedish Lapland, where you can go from the constant hustle and bustle of life in England with the endless rumble of the motorway in the background, to the constant rustle and tussle of the endless forest. Where the only rumbling sound is the numerous mighty rivers flowing through the mountains. In the height of the summer the temperatures regularly reach +30C and of course this can last all night in the land of the midnight sun!
Fancy strolling through the woods or cycling along the mountain trails, through Lapponia the largest nature reserve in Sweden and a UNESCO natural heritage site? Of course you do! Or why not rent a canoe and slowly paddle along the crystal clear waters, where the water is incredibly warm (heated by the midnight sun of course) and fantastic for swimming in. Watch the majestic moose, elegant reindeer and the amazing array of birds and insects as they make the most of the long summer days. Maybe if your really lucky you can see, from a safe distance, a bear or the elusive lynx!
If you would like a Hiking or Cycling holiday, for instance, we can drop you off and provide maps/equipment then collect you again when you have finished.
We can also arrange Fishing excursions, lasting from one day to a week, at relatively short notice during your stay.
In Sweden you can camp anywhere in the forest and even in the nature reserves! In most places you can also light a small fire, so if you get the urge you can walk from your cabin or hotel and wander into the last wilderness in Europe, light a fire make a camp and sleep under the sun.
