The Tree Hotel is an amazing place to stay for a night or two, or why not a week? The Tree Hotel consists of five uniquely-themed Tree Houses all created by different architects. In addition to the Tree Hotel there is a sauna and conference / breakfast room which seats up to 15 guests.

The appeal of the Tree Hotel beyond the stylish aesthetics and innovations, is being truly at one with the surrounding nature. All of the Tree Houses hang as if by magic with a tree at their core or a tree at each corner. The unusual structures are attached to the pine trees at around 4 metres. At the moment, visitors have a choice between five luxury Tree Houses - The Nest, The Blue Cone, The Mirrorcube, The Cabin and The UFO. The Room With A View is due to appear in late 2011.

Environmental values lie at the heart of each room and this extends to the materials used as well as plumbing and lighting. The designers were inspired by the Swedish documentary, 'Tree Lover' (or Tradalskaren in Swedish) by Jonas Selberg Augustsen. The story is based around three men who question the value of nature in relation to humans. They constructed their own tree house in Harads in the story, hence the hotel's location. The Tree Hotel will have 24 rooms when it is finished, the remaining rooms will be built over the next 5 years and will be designed by different architects.

A stay in one of the The Tree Hotel rooms is an excellent addition to any trip offered by Travelapland . The Tree Hotel lies only 80km from Luleå Kallax airport and is on the way (to or from the airport) from most of our tours.
