There is no better way to experience Lapland than motoring across the vast wilderness, over frozen seas, river and glaciers on high powered snowmobiles. These fantastic machines cause no damage to the environment due to the deep deep snow. These expeditions are not for the faint hearted, they offer adventure and excitement like nothing else. Reaching places barely ever seen by humans and normally inaccessible these expeditions will never be forgotten and will offer a lifetime of tales and stories. With experienced guides who will point out all the passing geological interest points and wildlife, whilst making sure you get the most out of your machines. Iron Road Expedition
from £1399 per person, for a 5 day stay in Lapland inlcuding a 3 day snowmobile trip along the Iron Road includes; transfers, and self catering whilst at hotel. Available 15 January - 15th April, groups must be over 4 people (or if less people then to the cost of four).
The first night of you arrival you stay in a hotel in the beautiful city of Luleå, we will collect you from the airport and take you to your hotel, in the morning you guides will collect after breakfast and then your snowmobile adventure begins. On the first day, after learning how to handle to 500cc machines you will set off across the frozen sea of Gulf of Bothnia, the most northerly part of the Baltic sea. Passing islands, unspoiled forests and riding on into the horizon at lunch you stop for some ice-fishing and a Lapland lunch, utilising reindeer skins to sit on around the fire. After lunch you carry on towards Jopikgården where you will stay the night and make use of a sauna and shower.
On the second day you set off on safari, still on the sea taking in the sights of the archipelago. After lunch you head up the mouth of the frozen Råneå river. After half a days riding there is the chance to tkae a 7km dog sledding trip through the beautiful forests, ending once again with a sauna and hot tub. A two course meal will then be prepared before sleeping the night in log cabins.
On the third day you head back through lapland towards Lulea and civilisation, if the weather is good you will find a route back through virgin snow. Then you will be dropped of at the hotel for a relaxing night.
In the morning Travelapland will collect you from the hotel and take you back to the airport. (If you wish to extend your stay just let us know and we will give you some more options.)
Kvikkjokk Mountain Expedition
from £1899.99 per person for a 5 day trip in Lapland including 4 days snowmobile ride through the Kvikkjokk Mountain region. 15 January - 20th April, groups must be over 4 people (or if less people then to the cost of four).
After being collected from the airport you will be taken to Jokkmokk where you will stay in the Jokkmokk Hotel for the night before departing on the expidition. You head north toward the Laddon Lake where you stop for lunch and a spot of Ice Fishing. In the late afternoon you settle down to make camp where you stay in wooden cabins, a two course Lapland meal is served in the evening.
On the third day after a traditional Lapland breakfast you head towards the Tarravalley and the Sulitelma glacier! Snow shoe walking takes us the time before lunch and then heading back towards camp.
On day four after a breakfast in the wilderness you head off towrds the Kabla mountains. After experiencing the awesome landscape on the snowmibiles you head down to the village in Kvikkjokk, from here you travel to Årrenjarka for food and a nights rest.
In the morning after eating you set off on the machines towards Jokkmokk once again where you are collected in the Minibus and transfered back to Luleå.

Epic Landland Expedition,
from £2799.99 per person for 7 nights and 6 days riding, including; transfers and accommodation (food supplied during the trip but not whilst at the hotel). Available 15th January - 20th April, groups of 4 or over, otherwise if less than 4 to the cost of 4)
Day 1 Our guides meet you at your hotel. We transfer to Jokkmokk and your Hotel for the night. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight in double rooms. Briefing on the following days program, distribution of equipment and clothing.
Day 2 Jokkmokk to Björkudden. Breakfast at the hotel. We start the day with safety and snowmobile driving instructions. We then begin our expedition heading north through the forests and over the mountain range towards Karats lake, Saggat, Kabla mountains and finally Langas where Björkudden camp is located. We stop for lunch en route and maybe some ice fishing. Upon arrival at Bjorkudden, we take a sauna followed by a Lapland dinner and an overnight stay in the cabins. The journey from Jokkmokk to Björkudden is approximately 150km.
Day 3 Björkudden to Tjuonaokk. Breakfast at Björkudden camp. Then we pack our gear and head north to Kaitum Valley and Tjuonajokk Camp. We will do some ice fishing here as it is one of the best fishing spots in Lapland. Lapland lunch en route . At arrival to Tjuonajokk camp, we check in to the large cabin. Sauna and dinner in the cozy restaurant. Overnight stay in the wooden cabins. The journey today is approximately 60km.
Day 4 Tjuonajokk to Kiruna. A Lapland breakfast at the restaurant in Tjuonajokk. We pack our gear and head north for Nikkaloukta via the mountain top. Lunch en route. We then travel east to Kiruna and Ripan Camp. Ripan Camp is a traditional cabin hotel about 10 min walk from the centre of Kiruna. Dinner and an overnight stay at Ripan in 4 bed cabins of a hotel standard. The days travelling distance approximately 90km.
Day 5 Kiruna to The Ice Hotel to Gällivare. Breakfast at Ripan Camp. Then we pack our gear and head south along the Torne River driving through and some wild and ancient forest areas. We stop for a visit and a guided walk around the famous Icehotel. We then travel south, stopping for lunch at a small hotell in Skaulo village. In the late afternoon we reach Gällivare and the Dundret Ski Resort where we check into our cabins. Dinner, sauna and a relaxing evening. Overnight stay in the cabins. Distance today is approximately 110km.
Day 6 Gällivare to Jokkmokk. Breakfast at the Hotel Dundret. We then drive through the moors and forests to Jokkmokk. Lunch en route in the Porjus region. In the afternoon we are back in Jokkmokk where the expedition ends. We say goodbye to our snowmobiles and transfer to Luleå and Ebbenjarka camp for our final dinner, sauna and a soak in a hot tub. Overnight stay at the Elite Hotel in Luleå city centre. Days travelling distance approximately 100km.
Day 7 Departure day. Breakfast at the hotel. Depending the on departure time, there may be some time for shopping and a walk in Luleå city centre. Taxi transfer to the airport.
