Christmas in Lapland

Lapland, the home of Father Christmas! Swedish Lapland, the original province of Lapland and hence the original home of Santa!! We offer exclusive package deals throughout the early winter period and leading into the new year offering the true Christmas in Lapland experience. From a few days in wooden cabins to a fortnight in the luxurious mountain retreat at Årrenjarka we have it all.

What could be more exciting for a child than waking up surrounded by snow, reindeer outside, awaiting a sleigh drawn trip to Santa's Grotto? And what could be better for the parents than seeing the enormous smiles on their faces as they approach the doorway and catch a glimpse of that famous beard? Whether it be the small complimentary gift we offer or your own gift surreptitiously handed to Santa in advance, there will be no disappointment. And in the evening the parents can even have a sherry or two, as is tradition!

We offer trips of a weekend, a week or even a fortnight! All of our packages include a meeting with Father Christmas. We will collect you from the airport in our specially decked out Land Rover 'sleigh' and drop you off at your destination of choice, where we will make the necessary present arrangements before we leave you.

£499pp (£599 if over Christmas day or Boxing day) for one week. Includes; transfers, self catering accommodation and Father Christmas meeting, £699pp for one week, as above but also includes; snow shoe walking trip, dog sledding trip (over Christmas week this is not available and can be replaced by a skiing trip behind an ATV, a short snowmobile trip or a £99 refund), reindeer sleigh trip and ice fishing.

Not only will you be spending the Christmas period in the home of Father Christmas, but here at the reindeer retreat you'll be at least 20km from the nearest house! The retreat is a truly magnificent place. There is no mains electricity and no mains water and no people either! Natural spring water fresh from the forest supplies the water and oil lamps, night lights and the burning wood provide the heat and light. So if the daily grind has become too much, this is the perfect place to relax, unwind and recharge. The cold will be kept outside, whilst the warm glowing, flickering lights heat up your cabin creating a cosy atmosphere that is truly unrivalled. ((link to about The Solberget Reindeer Retreat)).
